Meta & Quest platform Down Outage
Earlier today, a Meta server glitch rendered all online Quest headsets unusable for an hour. The issue has since been resolved at 8:40am PT. Users encountered login errors when accessing Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and the Quest platform around 7:30am PT. Although the problem has been fixed, affected users must re-login to their headsets.
Quest 3 Android App Support
Meta rejected Google’s Android XR proposal for Quest but is testing easier access to standard 2D Android apps. They're integrating these apps into the Universal Menu, simplifying usage. However, a v63 update might restrict modding by removing scoped storage access. This could impact games like QuestCraft. We await Meta’s response on this issue.
Quest Lying Down

With v63 we’re making it official, rolling out a new setting that makes it easy to kick back while comfortably using your Meta Quest 2 or Pro headset. Join David Attenborough on a trip to the Galapagos Islands, catch a concert in Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley, play a little Cubism, meditate with TRIPP, and more, from the comfort of your favorite bed/recliner/couch/whatever.
Quest Cash
Later this month we’re also introducing Quest Cash, a convenient new payment method for games and other purchases on the Meta Quest Platform. Quest Cash can be bought, gifted, and requested, and is stored on your account. Quest Cash enables parents and guardians to monitor and budget their teen’s spending in VR, and provides a safe and streamlined way to pay for games and add-on content. Adding Quest Cash into your teen’s account gives them the freedom to buy anything they have access to, while also ensuring they can’t spend more than intended. Accounts can also request Quest Cash from others, if (for instance) a new Walkabout Mini Golf course drops and your teen finds themselves low on funds.
