Please enjoy this balayage vs. foils highlighting comparison and demo. I show the before/after and do one side of the head foils and the other balayage. This highlighting technique is very popular however many do not know the difference between the two. Foils are great for a more defined, uniform look and balayage is great for a more lived in, natural look that grows out great.
I timed this for 30 minutes on a blonde mannequin head and the results are great. You can clearly see the difference in the two techniques.
I know you are all going to say I should have used a darker haired head, but I honestly prefer to do highlights on lighter levels to look more natural and I didn't have any darker ones either.
