The Club of Hill Giant Strength
The Club of Hill Giant Strength is located in the Arcane Tower – a major location in the Underdark of Act 1. The tower itself is full of mysteries. On the top floor of the Arcane Tower, in the corner of this floor, look for an interactive item called the Stool of Hill Giant Strength. Picking up the stool and throwing it will smash it -- and leave behind the hidden Club of Hill Giant Strength.
Warped Headband of Intellect
Located in the Blighted Village, you'll encounter a trio of Ogres and their boss -- a big guy named Lump the Enlightened. Lump can’t be missed. Anyone playing this game will encounter him immediately. If you defeat Lump and loot his body, you'll find the Warped Headband of Intellect.
Smuggler's Ring
In Act 1, travel north to the Risen Road. That's the area north of the Blighted Village. The ring itself is found in a bush along the river -- explore the coordinates around X:58 Y:515. Grab the ring and you'll be pickpocketing with the best of them.
Svartlebee's Woundseeker Greatsword
Found in Act 1, you'll need the Command Spell before even attempting to get this killer Greatsword. The sword is found in Waukeen's Rest, the large structure that's burning when you first arrive. Look for an NPC called Gauntlet Yeva. Use the Drop Command Spell and she'll dump her sword on the ground. No need to kill or pickpocket. Shadowheart can acquire Command pretty early -- use it and getting this sword is no problem.
Silver Pendant & Amulet of Silvanus
The Silver Pendant gives you the Guidance Cantrip -- a 1D4 boost to all ability checks. Very handy for basically every single interaction on the Sword Coast. Grab it from a high spot near the Druid Grove entrance. Check X:160, Y:373 to get it. You can also collect the Amulet of Silvanus nearby. To get it, find the fishing bear just outside the Druid Grove. There's a rock you can interact with that, when moved, reveals this amulet. Not a bad haul for Act 1.
Spineshudder Amulet
The Spineshudder Amulet is weirdly secret item in Act 2, located in Kethric Thorm's bedroom in Moonrise Towers. You'll need to open the mimic chest without letting it transform into a mimic to get it. This powerful amulet deals 2 Reverberations on enemies you attack with any ranged magic spells. Reverberation debuffs enemies with a -1 penalty to Strength, Dexterity and Constitution Saving Throws. Once the enemy has 4 stacks of Reverberation, there is a chance they'll take Thunder Damage or get knocked prone.
Boots of Uninhibited Kushigo
Right before entering Act 3, you'll reach a special encounter against a group of Githyanki Monks on the Astral Plane. After entering the blue portal, you'll only get one chance to loot the enemies. Make sure to loot the body of Prelate Lir'i'c during the encounter against the special guard. If you do, you'll find a pair of boots that grants additional damage equal to the wearer's Wisdom Modifier when using Unarmed Strikes.
Spellmight Gloves
Right at the start of Act 3, simply pickpocket Lucretious when you meet her. You can use that Smuggler's Ring we found earlier in Act 1. Save your game and use the pickpocketing trick to make this a lot easier. Use one party member to talk to her, distracting her, while another party member pickpockets. It's an old trick that works for good reason.
Band of the Mystic Scoundrel
Another useful item found exclusively in the Circus of the Last Days. To get it, you'll need to talk to Akabi the Djinn. He's playing a spin-the-wheel game and cheating every spin. By stealing the Djinni Ring or angering the Djinn, he'll banish you to a jungle. After landing in the dinosaur-filled jungle, travel right and search for a hidden path above the dinosaur cave to find an old campsite. The ring we’re looking for is found on a very dead skeleton. This ring grants the wearer the ability to cast an Illusion or Enchantment spell as a Bonus Action following any successful weapon attack.
Bonespike Gloves
And this is easily the hardest-to-get gear in Baldur's Gate 3. To get the Bonespike Gloves, you'll need to reach an unavoidable encounter on a bridge in Baldur's Gate. This occurs when approaching the Temple of Bhaal -- and if you see one of the enemies is named Strangler Luke, you'll know it's the right place. Kill Strangler Luke and loot his body before finishing the fight to get these rare gloves.
