After going to the Iron Throne HQ, and finding out that the Iron Throne leaders are at Candlekeep, you are sent back to Candlekeep (starting area) to find out what they're doing.
The fact that I could go ahead and "investigate" the Iron Throne HQ before being given the quest to do so is something I really liked about this game; it wouldn't stop me from going in there whenever I want simply because I hadn't talked to the quest-giver first. Freedom is almost always good in a game.
