Since I was asked here are the top tier of mvc2:

God Tier:
Sentinel

Top Tier
Cable
Magneto
Storm

then Everyone else...and I mean that.

I mean they are other strong characters like Strider, Spiral, Blackheart , Cyclops and Dr Doom.

But here's the thing...Strong Characters depending on how they are played have to be out-smarted in order to beat them.

You can't out smart the top and God tier...You have to get lucky. That's one reason why you see those characters so often when you search 15 years worth of videos.

Who needs skill when you can just hope for a double snap back with Magneto.

Who needs skill when you can punish assist like Storm...and don't get me started on

"America's Favorite DHC".

What's A DHC you may ask?

Well imagine Storm hitting you with a combo...

then in order to finish the combo, She calls sentinel.

Sentinel Hits SO HARD. that anyone who gets hit with this combo will almost always lose a character.

Then Sentinel can hit you with an unblockable laser.

Then hit you with another combo.

into another unblockable laser.

No other character has this ability.

But why do you see sentinel so often...what a ugly design right?

Well here's why...

Cable
Magneto
Storm

You see...they themselves have to get lucky against Sentinel.

Now to the FGC and in Particular the mvc2 community. Now what I posted comes off as complete Sacrilege right?

doesn't Cable beat Sentinel 10-0?

I mean he gets shot right?

But he needs meter to do this.

He needs Assists to Protect him at all times.

Sentinel doesn't need assists to punish your whole team.

The Man from the West Proved that didn't he?

Another Thing that makes Sentinel so great is that he also have 2 of the best assist attacks in the game.

They are other characters with great assist attacks like Captain Commando, Cyclops again, Psylocke

You have no idea about Psylocke.

None

But anyway...Sentinel is rare in that 2 of his 3 assist attacks have uses beyond what it was meant for.

for example...he has more health than anyone else so you can use him as a shield to hide yourself from attacks.

again...he hits SO HARD. a single combo with Magneto will eliminate two-thirds of your life.

And Magneto...Good Grief Magneto.

Watch SooMighty, Or yipes or Chris Schmidt .

Do that look fun to you...Fighting against someone that fast?

Someone who literately moves faster than your mind can compute?

Now you're teaming the fastest character alongside the hardest hitting character.

No wonder this game is broken.
