Solid, beautiful shoot-em-up/shmup with MASSIVE weapon upgrades-- collect various icons from destroyed enemies to upgrade not only your fighter but the options (drone ships that fire when you do) as well. It's nearly impossible to survive long enough to see the full upgrades but boy howdy are they impressive! After a certain amount of upgrades you can just hold down fire for rapid fire. The weapon upgrade system is very similar to other 8ing or Raizing shoot-em-ups of the time. Select from Training Mode (only 4 easy stages), Normal Mode (Medium difficulty and more enemies, plus 2 more stages) or Advance Mode (8 stages) plus a Special Mode where you only face bosses. This version I played is called Unlimited Version-- it allows you to unlock extra fighters (not too special; just a few extra fighters that may have different firepower, be faster or slower, etc.), and there isn't a 64 million point limit as in the original Battle Bakraid.
