Battle Kid is an NES homebrew made by Sivak Games in February of 2010. This game is similar to "I Wanna Be the Guy" which is an indie game on PC. Battle Kid has gotten to be one of the hard NES games in a long time since this system was discontinued in 1995. It's hard because of the tight controls, trial and error difficulty, and instant death mechanics (one hit, you kick the bucket). When recording footage for this game, I kinda cheated by using a password that gets you all the upgrades, it's really that brutal. But at the same time, this game will remind you of all the hard NES games you played growing up, I wish I did. This game is all about patience, getting the pattern, and trial and error. To summarize, it's all about skill. Play this game if you are looking for punishment. I played it in my terrible live stream and Arin Hanson of Game Grumps has played it screaming at the Plant Monster (I died when I watched it).
