Bubble Bobble (30th Anniversary) | LEGO Digital Designer Creations
This addictive arcade game in the mid-80 turns 30 years old this year. I did this one because I found one perfect sprite sheet that had almost all the sprites in the game and my cousins requested it as they played this game together in their youth on the NES. This was the most stressful video I made because of the many gaming and personal events that was happening. In this video, I'm gonna be using the Japanese character names.

Bubble Bobble was first released in 1986 in arcades and later ported to other consoles, such as the NES. This game was developed and published by Taito, the same company that created the widely popular Space Invaders at the time. Many people experienced Bubble Bobble with the NES port. The story is about two brothers named Bub and Bob who have been turned into bubble blowing dragons and their girlfriends have been kidnapped by the Baron von Blubba (or Super Drunk in Japan, yes that's his name). The main goal is to recuse their girlfriends by going through over 100 levels of the "cave of monsters". This game was meant to be aimed at girls and boys due to its cute art style, and since the game has cooperative play, it's no wonder that this game was so popular at the time. This game was the pioneer of co-op gaming, and to be honest, the game wants you to play with a friend. When you beat Super Drunk in the end of the game solo, you get the bad ending, to get the good ending you'll have to snatch a friend to make them play this game with you. Bubble Bobble was one of the games to have multiple endings, two endings I believe. I haven't played this game in my youth until I was 14 when my cousin told me about it. If I had played this back then, it would be on Taito Legends for Xbox and PS2. The game's popularity caused it to be ported to so many consoles and made Taito create a few sequels and spin-offs. Overall, this is a game you would play with your siblings if you had any. It's sad to say that I haven't seen this game in an arcade once in my life. After 30 years, Bubble Bobble is still a classic to this day, and it's gonna be on the NES Classic Edition.
