Battlefield 1943 will be no more on the 8th December 2023 we take a look at it in its final months
Electronic Arts & Digital Illusions CE (DICE) are going to be closing Battlefield 1943 on 8th December 2023 turning it into little more than a digital coffee coaster when the servers closes. Riven our editor decided to revisit the game before it shuts down with some full match gameplay from each of the three main islands. Guess you could call it a kind of a playthrough or longplay of the game. On top of a look at the game itself and what it had to offer, the game has already been delisted ahead of the server closure and it can only be played if you already own it or have access to EA Play. This join a rapidly growing lists of games that once the servers are closed is little more than a husk of the game with only the tutorial being able to be accessed in-game while offline.
It's sad to say but for Battlefield 1943 the end is soon approaching.
