Battlefield 2042 Portal Rules Editor - Custom Scoring and Changing Score to Win
108Taking a step back a bit today and looking at how to do something that nearly everybody will want to do at some point or another and that is set your own custom scoring logic as well as changing the score to win.

I'm also reading the comments and making notes of the things people want to do and will be putting out some videos as soon as I can, answering some of these questions.
As for todays video, this isn't really a complicated part of the editor (or at least setting the score to win isn't, but I still felt that it is something that lots of people might want to know how to do given its not possible in the builder itself for TDM and free for all (you can easily do it through the builder but thats reasonably easy through the standard options).
In this video we will look at simply changing the standard ticket count (as the editor is currently only available in TDM or Free For All the standard scoring is based on number of kills). The first part of the video looks at this.
Then we will take an introductory look at setting your own scoring logic, disconnecting the standard score on kill mechanism and replacing it with one of your own (in this case the number of crouches the player performs lol!)
We can build on this later but this should give you a start in the right direction if you want to create your own scoring logic in your games and give you the platform to think about how you can implement this in your own games once you are no longer tied to the 'most kills = win' style of scoring.
I have included the experience code to try this out (it really doesnt do that much in itself - just squat and see the score go up) but its a bit of a laugh with friends to see who is the fastest squatter. You can practice your speed tea bagging :)
