With raytracing turned to max, Battlefield V sure doesn't hit 60 FPS on my RTX 2080 Ti while playing in 4K. Further driver updates might improve the situation, though, and the frame rate mostly seems to stay in the entirely manageable 40-50 FPS range. Also, it helps that the visuals are uniformly great so that there's a lot more than fancy reflections to gawk at in this latest Frostbite-powered title.

The singleplayer in BF5 isn't quite as barebones as the "campaign" featured in Battlefield 1, but the more ambitious attempts at storytelling and character development this time around almost makes it more difficult to accept the bite-sized nature of the whole experience. The Norway and France scenarios in particular have some interesting setups, but there's just not enough time to get to know the protagonists before it's time to wrap up and move on to the next part.
