It's time to take a look at one of the most interesting decks in Legends of Runeterra: Teemo Zoe Elusives. This deck was at its peak around November of 2022, right before Riot decided to nerf the deck by reducing the power of Sudden Surge. After that, the deck completely disappeared from the competitive scene, with only a few players bringing it to Worlds.
However, it looks like Teemo Zoe Elusives is making a comeback. According to Llorr-Stats.com, the deck has a strong win rate and is starting to appear in tournaments again. This begs the question: why did the deck fall off the face of the Earth in the first place? Was it simply outclassed by other decks, or was it just not being played?
The answer may lie in the deck’s ability to compete in the mid-range space. It’s not fast enough to outrace Pirates, and it gets annihilated by decks like Annie Ezreal. But against decks like Kaleona, it can really shine. The virtual card advantage paths of blocking with Sun Guardians are removed, and Teemo Zoe can sneak in some victories.
The deck also has a strong interactivity suite. Sudden Surge and Pokey Stick are staples, but the remaining interactive spells are up in the air. We’re going with Heroic Frame, Wallops, and Battle Bonds. This gives the deck enough interactivity to compete without relying on a single unit. Wallop is especially powerful, as it can essentially be a Time Walk if your opponent is coming at you with a big unit.
Overall, Teemo Zoe Elusives is a deck that is worth keeping an eye on. It has the potential to be a strong contender in the mid-range space, and with the right interactive spells, it can really shine. So if you’re looking for a deck that can compete in the mid-range, Teemo Zoe Elusives is definitely worth considering.
