Battletech 2017 Beta Review - Massive Missile Knockdown
In the second episode of the Battletech Beta gameplay series I want to show you the strength of missiles. I am taking a lance of 3 Kintaros and a Quickdraw to make use of the SRM and LRM spam as much as possible.
Missiles in the new Battletech game, no matter if long range missiles or short range missiles, shake the enemy and cause stability damage. At a certain point the Mech will become unsteady which already will result in some serious drawbacks for the pilot. If you continue shaking the Mech beyond that point it will eventually get knocked down.
Knockdown first of all causes a pilot injury and after 5 injuries the pilot dies and the Mech becomes inoperable. The second benefit is that you can make called shots to specific components to knocked down (and overheated) Mechs. This way you can target weak spots efficiently and destroy single components or cause even more pilot injuries if you target the head component.
