This version of battletoads is fun.
The nes version of battletoads is good too, but this one feels more special.
One thing I can say, is that it's easier than the nes version.
The turbo tunnel is easier, and the later levels are much MUCH more fair.
Only took me a little while to route out.
Not To say I DON'T like the nes version, no. I think it's just as good as this one.
It's just... very difficult and harder to play.
And more broken than this version.
There's a few clips you can do in the terra tubes stage to save some time and skip some sections,
but that feels like the only broken part about it.
I know I'm a speedrunner who likes these glitches, but in this case. I like playing the game all the way through.
And yes, I am working on speedrunning the genesis version.
The credits warp for Nes is still in mind, but I want to look more into the genesis version on the side.

The route is different than the nes route. Here's the compairsion:

NES: 1 (Warp), 3 (Level End Glitch), 4 (Glitched + Warp), 6 (Warp), 8 (Normal), 9 (Glitched), 10 (Level End Glitch), 11 (Normal), 12 (Normal), 13 (Normal)

It's way faster than the genesis version since the nes has more glitches to offer.
Now let's look at the genesis version:

GENESIS: 1 (Warp), 3 (Warp To Level 5), 5 (Normal), 6 (Warp), 8 (Normal), 9 (Glitched), 10 (Normal), 11 (Normal), 12 (Normal), 13 (Normal)

Genesis seems like the less broken option.

You may wonder why we skip taking the level 3 warp in the nes version.
Well, you have to play through the whole turbo tunnel, and near the end, there's a warp to level 5.
Since it's faster to do the bike glitch and then a warp Glitch that takes you to level 4, there's no point of it.
Sure. Playing through level 4 is slower than level 5, but it's eiether skip turbo tunnel or play it through and warp.

Also the genesis doesn't have the bike Glitch.
So we play through the turbo tunnel and take the warp to level 5.

Gonna try to buy a physical copy soon.
If I run this, it's gonna be on my new computer I got which is much better than my old one,
but the camera quality isn't that good.
Shouldn't be a problem.

I recommend learning the genesis version first and THEN try the nes version.
It's definitely worth it.
