Bazooka Blitzkrieg Game Sample - SNES/SFC [Super Scope]
Original Air Date: April 27th, 2008
Known as Destructive in Japan, your goal is to blast lots and lots of robots and machines using the Super Scope, an ill-fated accessory for the SNES/SFC that is only used or required for roughly a dozen games in the SNES' library. Bazooka Blitzkrieg is said to be the rarest of the Scope games in the states, but I'm not entirely sure. The game is... OK.
It doesn't quite compare to the "big" Super Scope games (Battle Clash, Metal Combat and Yoshi's Safari), but it's really not bad at all to be honest. The neat thing is that some environmental damage can be done, like shooting out windows and blasting signs. At first I thought you couldn't shoot in this game without bazooka ammo, but you have to set the Scope to Turbo, lol. One thing I don't like is the guys on bikes. You can see your missiles go right through them and you have to hit them precisely to register a blow. Enjoy this simple sample video.
Interesting Tidbit: The Super Scope was not well-received in the states, but it was even less popular in Japan. A lot of Super Scope games didn't get released in Japan until a few months to a year (or more) after they were released in the U.S. If you didn't like these games back in 1992 and the like, how would you feel playing them in 1993 or nearly 1994?
