Aaah Beach Head on the C64, the first ever mainstream tape game set at the horrifically high price of £9.99 and the start of the standard price of £9.99 for C64 games from US Gold and Ocean etc.

Well usually it would make you angry but in this case it is a game made for the C64, it uses the SID chip so well that there is no way you would prefer to play it on any other 8 bit without that iconic neeeee-aaaawwww sound of the planes that brought a huge grin to your face as kid :) Really playable, really polished.....no wonder it was given a big thumbs up by Saturday Swap Shop kids show at the time. Worth the extra quid or 10 packets of crisps out of your pocket money. One of the early games that convinced you that your £250 C64 was worth it too.

This is classic gaming at its best.....which is why it deserved an upload in glorious 4k.....even if it took hours to produce on my machine....god I need to get that new i7 PC sorted out haha
