Beat A Boy and His Blob (NES) in under 3 minutes - Part 1 - A Wild Glitch Appears!
386There's a crazy sequence of easy glitches you can exploit to beat David Crane's A Boy and His Blob for NES in just two to four minutes. This strategy (or a similar strategy that uses many of the same tricks in this video) is what speedrunners use to beat this game as quickly as humanly possible.

As soon as the game starts, feed your blob a Root Beer Jellybean to transform him into a rocket, then fly the rocket to the left. When the rocket lands, head one screen to the right while mashing B to whistle for your Blob (this calls for him to follow you).
On this screen, position your blob so that he is very close to the right edge of the screen, and feed him a Punch Jellybean. Stand in the hole he creates, then throw any jellybean off screen to the right (use a bean you have a whole lot of). When the screen changes to show you where the bean landed, hold LEFT on the D-Pad, and you should fall through the floor.
You'll land in an area that looks like the game's ending screen, but we haven't technically beaten the game yet. Hit B to whistle for your blob. Run to the left past the game's ending credits (lol) until you find a room with a cage. Run into the cage and you will get stuck.
Stand on the right side of the cage and throw a Ketchup Jellybean to your left to summon the Blob into the cage. Now give him a Tangerine Jellybean to turn him into a trampoline. Bounce on the trampoline holding UP until you have enough height that you can press LEFT to get over the left side of the cage.
There will be an invisible wall to your left. In the next part, you will use another Ketchup Jellybean to summon the blob, then another Tangerine Jellybean to turn him into a trampoline again so you can jump over the invisible wall on the left, but all that AND THE ENDING will be shown in PART 2 - https://youtube.com/shorts/JA0VPGkJfzc
