Beating All NA N64 Games - Banjo-Kazooie (41 of 296) PART 2
RANKING: A+
Probably the best platformer on the N64 since Super Mario 64. If you played that you know how this game is gonna play. More things to collect in this game to advance though: Notes to open doors to other parts of the hub world; Puzzle pieces to open levels (like the painting levels in SM64); Jinjos act like the Red Coins from SM 64 to get another piece of the puzzle; Mumbo tokens you collect to be able to turn into different animals and use those abilities to help you.
To beat the game you need to collect 810 Notes to open an area in the hub world, and need 25 spare puzzle pieces to open the final level boss: Gruntilda, beat her and win the game.
I'd highly recommend it, I'd take Super Mario 64 over this though; too many collectables, I feel 100 of 1 thing to collect is the right number of things to collect (Mario went over this number by 20 Stars) after that it get monotonous and feels like the game is just padded out to give it a longer run time. I've never played Donkey Kong 64, I hear that one is the worst offender of having too many collectables.
