It is more like a sandbox experience. Big open caves to dig out, but also quite sparse. Actual gear based loot or even different creature variety is hard to come by. Most plant life is not mature enough to get resources from. Highlighted spots on radar often end up having nothing there. After an hour of aimlessly exploring It just feels like a waste of time. They should allow you to carry multiple contracts at once so you can work on them in the same run which would give you more of a purpose. Unfortunately that wouldn't be enough to save this game though.
