2berthier is one of the upper tier rifles, but the catch is that you really want to use bullet grabber trait, so, 4 upgrade points are basically part of the cost of the gun. otherwise, there is a tradeoff between reloading early and losing a round, or leaving only one round in the chamber for your next encounter.
these are my favorite moments in hunt. identifying an enemy team and having the discipline to let them pass, waiting to line up the right shot. i could body the first guy as soon as i see him, but i will likely lose the encounter against a duo in the open even with a premium gun like berthier.
