Done on the balance beta patch october 2018.

Deathwish is a difficulty mod that increases enemies health, damage and mass making them harder to stagger and roughly cutting cleave in half compared to legend.
It's made by Grimalackt's and can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1423529961

Back to basics is a heroic deed mutator that sets your power level to 15 and removes item traits and properties, meaning you go into a map with only your talents and with the same hero power as lvl 1 with no items.
This not only reduces your damage, but also the amount of cleave you have and how much you stagger enemies.

All in all this means that deathwish+back to basics should be nigh impossible.. and it used to be, but recent updates have introduced more and more power creep, mainly in the way of control.
Pushes are stronger, weapons stagger more when hitting enemies and cleave have also been increased for a lot of weapons.

This means that, even if we didn't have shade and WHC with instant kill on crits, we would have enough control to eventually grind our way through this.
And that is with the power that level 1 characters has, against a difficulty harder than legend, where enemies are twice as hard to cleave, where in previous patches you couldn't stop a mauler overhead with a flame sword.
Is it too much control, is there too much power creep in the beta?
What do you think?
