6My goal with this Gideon-like build was primarily to use the Golden Order and Ancient Death spells, as well as the Sword of Night-and-Flame (SoNaf). Although it can't spam the spells as I would like it to, at least not effectively, I have had a lot of success with the SoNaF, especially the Comet Azur like laser ability.
Although the laser struggles to hit a moving opponent while locked on it can hit a few if they're using unique skills with long recoveries or are the type to dodge straight backwards. I actually found that for some sloped areas (narrow stairs and such in particular) that it might be better staying locked on because the free aim dead zone can limit your angle. In most cases though I have found that free aiming the laser beam is key to landing the Comet Azur ability of Night-and-Flame Stance.
