What Is a Challenge Run Without Difficulty? | Elden Ring
4Can a challenge run still be challenging when you have something essentially removing all the risks and intent of the run? Although region lock is more focused on restrictions than difficulty it makes little sense to do it if the support you have doesn't adhere to the some restrictions as well.
For those not familiar with a region lock challenge run, it's about dividing the world into regions and not progressing (thus limiting what equipment you can acquire) to a new area until the region you're in is completed (usually defeating all of the bosses or the rune bearer of that area).
