4Golden Balls. Becks. Some people transcend the sport of football, and one of them is David Beckham. He announced himself with a halfway line goal in 1996 against Wimbledon and got himself into the headlines for all the wrong reasons with a red card at the 1998 World Cup. Beckham would bounce back from this, winning the treble with Manchester United and becoming England captain as well as playing out a distinguished career for Real Madrid, AC Milan, PSG and ensuring that the MLS thrived in a playing capacity with LA Galaxy and then in a franchise-owning capacity with Inter Miami.
