[Synopsis]

Bionic Command 2009 did have a sluggish start, and the reason for it was this game was released after the Financial Collapse of 2008. I thought this was a great game when I got it in late 2009, I got this game after I got a new computer in Sept of 2009. I originally ran Bionic Commando 2009 on a Phenom II 945 3.0 GHZ quad core computer with a MSI Geforce GTX 260 216 core 896 MB video card with 8 GB of ram. I bought a copy of this game on Amazon for about $14.99, so I paid about $5 than Bionic Commando Rearmed which I bought a year earlier. I didn't finish this game when I got in 2009, and it had been lying on my game library shelf for more than 12 years. I decided to play and finish this game, because I have more time now.

The sluggish sales for this game must have been the reason why this game didn't cost much. Never the less, 1.3 million copies of this game were sold from 2009 to June 2022. In my opinion, I thought this was a great game. This game was ported to the Sony Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 as well. There really isn't much of a difference between the ports except on the PC you can use the mouse and keyboard, while on the video game console versions you have to use the gamepad to play it. On the PC, the game play was excellent, and this game really wasn't a resource hog either. The game is responsive, and it is easy to play. You can do one more action you couldn't do in the original Bionic Commando which is jumping! In Bionic Commando 2009, you can jump, and the new 3d environment add a new dimension to this game which is depth.

As for saving the game, you cannot save the game whenever you want. Instead, the game saves automatically when you get to a checkpoint, like the console games of old. If you die then you have to restart from the checkpoint, and this is reminiscent of retro video games of the 1980s and 1990s. Bionic Commando 2009 works on Windows 11 even though it was intended for Windows 7, and Windows Vista. The game did crash a few times when I ran it on Windows 11, but it never crashed when I ran on Windows 7. Never the less, you can still play this game on a modern computer with a modern operating system, like Windows 11. Overall, this was a great game, and it was a lot fun when I played it the 2nd time around.
