BioShock Infinite - The Hand of the Prophet - Final Battle (1999 Mode, No Core Damage)
2The general idea here is to protect the core with Return to Sender traps while you take out the enemies. For gear, at the outset I'm using Rising Bloodlust, Blood to Salt, Ghost Soldier, and Overkill. The only weapons I ever use in this mode are the Shotgun and the Sniper Rifle, both fully upgraded. I didn't upgrade any other weapons and used the money instead to upgrade the vigors I'd need.
For the first wave, I use Murder of Crows traps at the start. With the upgrades, any enemies that die from the trap will turn into extra traps themselves. Don't waste Songbird attacks on enemies - use them to take out the howitzer gunships in this wave, and then the large zeppelins in the second wave.
Possessing the two RPG soldiers at the end of the first wave is important because with the upgraded vigor they will suicide afterwards. You'll notice I get the warning you can only possess one target at a time but it doesn't matter. Once control is broken, the first one will blow himself up.
You'll have a brief respite before the Motorized Patriots start to arrive. There are two waves of two each. I make the mistake here of forgetting to switch my gear loadout to my Charge/Shotgun setup, which is completely OP: Burning Halo, Nitro Vest, Brittle-Skinned, and and Tunnel Vision. The Charge upgrades add explosive damage and shield recharging. Charge a target, then quickly aim and fire with your shotgun. Rinse and repeat. This takes out heavy targets with ease, and you typically come away undamaged. (Note: you can take out Lady Comstock with this loadout so quickly that she usually can't even resurrect anyone)
