Our settings for both gameplay and recording is, as usual, 720p60fps. Besides that all the graphics sliders are maxed out. To control heat on our fanless GPU we lowered the clock speed from 954 to 904 MHz (about 5%). In the case of this particular ASUS GT 710 this gives us about a 10 degrees C temperature drop at maximum GPU load. Of course if we had a fan-cooled GPU card and a stronger CPU it would make more sense to overclock it a bit instead. In that case I would suggest the Gigabyte GT 710 DDR5 with a fan.

Remember to always get the DDR5 version of this GPU and NOT the DDR3 version. The DDR5 version will be a useful improvement over integrated graphics in any desktop equipped with a Core 2 Duo or Quad (2006) all the way up to a 4th gen i3 or even i5 (2014). The DDR3 version can barely manage 2/3 the performance and many games will remain unplayable where the DDR5 version will offer up a steady 30+ FPS at the same graphics settings.
