It is 1960 and you are Jack, a passenger taking a flight across the Atlantic. Suddenly something goes wrong and plane crashes to the ocean, but somehow you survive the crash and there is even a lighthouse nearby. As you finally get inside to the lighthouse you come across something that resembles some kind of a submersible, which you take in a hope to get safe. Little did you know that your night is just getting worse, submersible takes you to underwater city called Rapture and you are suddenly thrown what seems to be a civil war. Who can you trust at all in this weird place.
BioShock was first released in 2007 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is first-person shooter which incorporates 20th century dystopian and utopian thinkers. It borrows concepts from survival horror genre and includes role-playing game elements. BioShock is seen as a spiritual successor to System Shock -series.
Remaster of BioShock was released in 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In 2020 BioShock was released for Switch as a standalone and as a Collection.
