Bit vLog #57 - Blizzard on Point
16This week I was thinking about good games and bad games. I mean some developers have made some masterpieces, but also things that we should pretend never existed (*cough* Sonic 2006 *cough*). With that said, I've decided that Blizzard Entertainment only make good games.
Think about it - sure you may not like all their games, but usually that's because you dislike the genre rather than the game. Blizz are top of the charts across the board. They have RTS games like Starcraft 2 (which is getting an expansion). They've dominated MMORPGs for years with World of Warcraft (which is getting it's 5th expansion). They basically created the casual online cardgame genre (Can we call in COC?).
And now we've seen them dallying with MOBAs in Heroes of the Storm (which now has a release date for its beta aswell as a host of new heroes, maps & modes). And the big news to come out of this years BlizzCon is the announcement of their first new IP in 17 years, the Asymetric Class Based FPS - Overwatch.
Bow down to your lord and savior, Blizzard show everyone else how to make good games.
