Bite Sized WoW News 48

So let me explain the reasoning and dispel a couple of myths about how youtube works. For 1, bite size wow news is a failed series. On average it gets 15k views and is less than 5 minutes long.
Anything "bite Sized" doesn't do well on youtube anymore. Thats why short form animations had all but disappeared, and the new standard, over 10 minute videos have replaced them and reigned supreme. And thats because of how revenue works on videos and thier length. A video thats 10 minutes long will make 3 times more revenue than one thats 5 minutes. And the shorter they get the less and less you make, where videos under 1 minute long make almost nothing.
So for example, If I compare 1 of my top 10s, say "Top 10 secret Vendors" as its just a standard top 10 for my channel that performed average as far as top 10s on my channel go. That 1 video by itself, when compared to all 50 or so of my bite sized wow news videos, has made double the amount of revenue.
So lets add made up number values to the videos. If the average bite sized news video made 1$ each, then all 48 of them combined would have made me 48$. But Top 10 Secret vendors made me 125$ in comparison. More than 2 times the amount. And that 1 video took about the same amount of effort as making 5 news videos. So if I were to convert the amount of time I spent making all of those news videos into top 10s, I could have made 10 more top 10s and made 20 times the amount of revenue. And if anything, I'm underselling those numbers a bit. Thats how drastic of a comparison it is.
So if 1 of my average main series videos can make 2 times the amount more than 50 videos from an established series, that is a failure of a series by all accounts.
Another thing, if people arent watching your videos, youtube will stop recommending them as much. With an average view count of 15k views per news video, thats only 10% of my 140k subs watching at most. If youtube sees that once a week I'm uploading a video that performs so poorly so often, it will stop suggesting my stuff altogether, or do it less. And I get more than half of my total views from the suggest feature. So its crucial I keep that feature happy. And on the psychological point of view, if someone stumbles across my channel due to one of my highly editing and researched videos, and then checks my uploads feed, they'll see that every other video is a low performing news video which will make them think twice about subscribing. Both of these scenarios are honestly not super hurtful to my channel, but they also do not help either.
And this is where a 2nd channel comes into play. Now if all I cared about was making money, I'd do nothing but make top 10s. Granted I do like making them, its just I like to change things up and cycle through the series on my channels to work on. And I do like the bite sized wow news, even if it doesn't do well. Also I know a lot of the people who get thier news solely from the series and watch it every week. Plus the shoutouts I give at the end of the news videos have helped out a lot of smaller youtube channels greatly and has led to me meeting some wonderful people. So since I make so little revenue from the series I honestly dont care that I wont be making any money off of it on a new channel for a while until I hit the numbers needed to monetise the channel. Plus with them on their own channel, they'll no longer bring down my numbers and clutter the sub feed of the 90% of my subs who dont watch it. And I'll be able to experiment with it more, but this little explanation is already too long as is so I'll leave it off there for now. If you have any questions or suggestions for the change let me know in the comments and I'll try my best to answer them.
