Bizzy Bros unfinished Commodore Amiga game that wasn't - preview by Loriciel
Also known as Dug apparently. I can Dig that!
Almost nothing was written about this in English at the time of development. Amiga Power's coverage amounted to the briefest of mentions in a news snippet in issue 14 (June 1992) referring to it as "a Lemmings-style game based on gold-digging". Followed by a (!) suggesting they didn't quite believe Loriciel would dare try to combine the two.
Bizzy Bros: the Gold Rush was being developed by Franck Cribier and Marc Cordier for the Amiga under the guise of 'The Algorithm Guild'. Coded in Assembly language the puzzle-platformer due to be published by Loriciel was unexpectedly cancelled around 1992/3, likely due to the publisher’s financial instability.
It was to be a kind of Diggers/Lost Vikings hybrid starring five cowboy siblings each blessed with a unique forte: engineer, blaster, track setter, digger, and shunter. Alternately switching between the brothers, against the clock, the task was to mine gold from various pits, dispatching any inconvenient critters along the way to clear a path.
