I've been screwing around with some other Catalysts. The one that's most interesting to me is Insightful Aid. It's basically built around you spamming Aid Incantations / Ultimates, since Aid Incantations not only get a damage boost with this Catalyst, but you actually get a Stamina refund when you successfully kill something with an Aid Incantation.

After doing much testing, I've come to the conclusion that ONiON is actually ridiculously good with this Catalyst. It basically comes down to "Aid Incantations use the stats of the caster, not the character the Incantation originally belongs to". When ONiON uses her rank 3 attack, she's basically handicapped by her low rarity status (since she can only go up to Insight 2, Resonance 10). But when another character (like Bkornblume) uses it, she does way more damage because she's a 5 Star (who has higher overall stats than the low rarity ONiON). Bkorn also has an Insight effect that boosts her damage whenever she hits a debuffed enemy.

tl;dr

ONiON's 610% Reality damage attack + Bkornblume's increased damage Insight and higher stats = ONiON nuke.

(Another interesting feature of Aid Incantations is that they use the Afflatus of the caster, but that doesn't matter too much unless you're idk running Desert Flannel)

There are a few other low rarity characters with really strong rank 3 Incantations (Rabies' 1-target attack, both of Leilani's attacks) but ONiON is my favorite to use, mostly because her Ultimate is also kinda handy. Even among 6 Stars, there's not many attacks that give out 2 stacks of Sturdiness like ONiON's Ultimate does. It's actually very useful for higher Roguelike difficulties.

(Oh yeah, Centurion is here too lol. I borrowed her, but got distracted by the ONiON nuke tech. She seems fine? She has shenanigans if you manage to pick up multiple copies of Max Moxie increasing artefact, unfortunately I've only managed to pick up two copies in one run before)
