Black Mesa [15] Lambda Core Pt. 2/2
0Well, I've reached the end (for now) of Black Mesa. We'll see when Xen comes out, but I'm not holding my breath. So, as to how the game is, well, I liked it, but there were frustrating components. It felt like most of the combat was just hiding behind obstacles, with the AI really lacking. I mentioned previously that the AI was sometimes way too perceptive, and sometimes not perceptive at all. Trained soldiers, for whatever reason, would run into obvious tripmines. It's strange. I think that was in the original, but it was strange there too.
When I first played the Black Mesa mod when it released, I didn't really like it. I'm not sure if they've made changes to the mod to make it more enjoyable to play, or if I was just in a better mood this time around. It could be either. I might try replaying the mod sometime to see how it compares. If I'm remembering correctly, they redid some levels for the actual release.
