Blasphemous Bosses but on a Mobile Phone (True Torment/NG+)
My left thumb hurts
The video shows only Ending C, or the True Ending of the game from the Wounds of Eventide DLC expansion.
Esdras was fought in the Boss Rush mode cuz i didnt want to do another run.
Ive wanted to do a video on the mobile version for quite some time ever since the version released for quite some time. I thought itd make for a fun a challenge.
Also this video can serve as a guide on how to beat the bosses if any mobile player is stuck on them.
As for what i think of this version, the overall port is good except for a few and one MASSIVE flaw. First, this version is the most complete version of the game as everything is available, from content to skins. This version includes the Golden Burden skin which was a Kickstarter Exclusive and part of collector's editions for the Nintendo Switch, and this version has it unlocked by default. It also has the Alloy of Sin skin unlocked by default, which was the only paid DLC skin. The only skin that seems to be unobtainable is the Archaic Exaltation skin due to a bug on the pick ups for the arcade minigame, but other than that, its the complete package. Second, this game looks amazing. I consider it to look better than the PC version personally. Something about seeing the game's pixel art on a small screen just works for me.
That's all for positives as my overall thoughts are in the original video on the PC version. As for the negatives, the magic effects are inconsistent across the board. Some are their correct color and some are incorrect. For example, the Escribar boss fight always displays the runes as the fire runes which makes the fight slightly harder since those are used as indicators as to what ability he's gonna use in all other versions. In here, you have to guess which magic ability he's going to use. However the BIG flaw in this version are the controls. The touchscreen controls take a bit to get used to and even then, it can be difficult to control and even be frustrating at times. There are certain inputs that can be possible on other versions which can't be done on here. You can fix this issue by customizing the controls which can be a bit of help or by plugging a Gamepad adapter or syncing a controller for better play. However, it gets a little difficult to control the game on touch screen which makes it a rather frustrating experience.
During this run, I decided to just have fun with the game and melt bosses with prayers rather than self imposing a challenge.
I used the Penitence of the Bleeding Heart modifier for this run since I feel like its the most mobile friendly version.
Overall, the mobile version isn't that bad, on the contrary, its quite good. Despite my grievances, i enjoyed playing it. If you have a controller, or a gamepad adapter, this could be the best version of Blasphemous to play on the go, on par with the Nintendo Switch.
