Following Genryusai's order, Toshiro and Rangiku square off against the Arrancar. Toshiro and Rangiku are confronted by Halibel's Fracciónes, Apache, Mila Rose, and Sun-Sun. Rangiku opts to fight them three-on-one. After releasing her Zanpakuto, Rangiku at first appeared to be holding her own against Apache, Mila Rose, and Sun-Sun, but she is finding it increasingly difficult dealing with their relentless attacks. Momo comes to Rangiku's aid in her time of need, but Rangiku is anxious about Momo's mental state when she sees Momo has her Squad 5 lieutenant's badge firmly fixed to her arm. Apache, Mila Rose, and Sun-Sun create a bizarre-looking beast in order to turn the tide of battle. Genryusai is finally forced onto the front lines after Ayon lays waste to one lieutenant after another.
