Meanwhile, members of the 13 Court Guard Squads are continuing their fight against the Espada. Looking to avenge her three Fracciónes, Halibel faces off Toshiro. Halibel's ability to control water and Toshiro's ability to control ice mean they are closely matched, until Toshiro finally reveals the true nature of his powers. Soi Fon and Omaeda are confronted by Barragan. Soi Fon works out a way to counter Barragan's ability to neutralize her speed. While Shunsui is facing off against Stark, Jushiro admonishes Lilinette for wanting to fight, which only serves to exasperate her. Both Shunsui and Stark want to see each other demonstrate their true powers, so Stark calls Lilinette to his side and releases his sword.
