The Soul Reapers have succeeded in luring Aizen into the fake Karakura Town. Barragan takes charge of the Arrancar after Head Captain Yamamoto encases Aizen in a wall of flame. Izuru faces off against Barragan's Fracción Abirama, with the memory of Gin's betrayal in the forefront of his mind. Yumichika's opponent is Barragan's Fracción Charlotte Chulhourne. However, Yumichika refuses to even look at someone with such a different concept of beauty. Shuhei is confronted by another of Barragan's Fracciónes, Findorr, who can increase his power by breaking bits off his mask. He says he will fight Shuhei at the same power as that of a lieutenant.
