Blight Rain - Episode 3: What a Horrible Knight to Have a Curse

Tonight was oddly productive, all things considered. I managed to knock out two bosses and got my hands on some helpful traversal abilities, though the hypothetical "super-jump" still eludes me. The first ability I got does help a lot with vertical mobility... but sadly, it's only helpful in specific areas with the necessary grapple points. That means it's not quite as useful in general, but it did at least allow me to progress even further. The other one was the shoulder charge move that I was expecting to crush those breakable walls, though considering the fact that it's also a dash is a pretty neat bonus.
It's kind of ironic. I had mentioned last time that I was considering going for all three endings during these livestreams... and wouldn't you know it? I actually ended up getting the worst one purely by accident, after beating my first boss of the night. Not bad all things considered, though KI assures me that I'm actually still a ways off from the other two. Kind of weird that you can just straight up get an ending that quickly though. Though, thinking about it, maybe that's why HowLongToBeat had such a low clear time. Maybe people were counting Ending A as finishing the game.
The two boss fights I cleared couldn't have been more different. The first one only took me two tries to clear... and that was mostly because the final phase caught me completely off-guard. The other fight took me way longer to clear. But ironically enough, I also managed to get to the final phase on my first try. Alas, that ended up being the easy part, especially considering how Julius has an attack that's basically a one-hit kill. I got a bit heated while trying to beat him, but fortunately, it doesn't seem like my temper got out of control. At the very least, KI didn't get defensive about my complaining -- the telltale sign that I've gone too far.
I ended up reaching Level 70 by the end of tonight's stream. Apparently, getting to Level 100 is the least common achievement, at least as far as Steam's concerned. I'm not sure if I'll get all of the achievements on stream, but if I don't, the ones I miss will probably just be the things that involve grinding or tracking down specific items. While the map's a little simplistic, the upside is that it does at least tell you about every exit in each given area and it uses color-coding to inform you if you've gathered all the items in a general location. That should make tracking stuff down way easier. I'd also have to admit that I wouldn't feel any guilt about doing the rest of that stuff off-screen, if only because I don't think it's possible to justify doing a scavenger hunt in Play Extend!
But that reminds me, I'm still hoping to get the Blasphemous and Yakuza 2 post-game stuff done before the end of the year. Hollow Knight probably won't happen until 2026... at the earliest.
