What happens if you combine Hitman, Half-Life²: Deathmatch, Team Fortress 2 and The Sims?

This.

Outerlight (makers of The Ship) did a great job with this game. It might have only 3 maps, but it's still a funny game.

The objective is simple: Do what Director X says and gain as much fame (in the form of stars) as you can to win the match.

This mostly means "Kill a certain person" which can be done with a shitload of weapons or a shitload of traps.
Killing your target with a trap always grants 5 stars while weapons grant a different amount of stars, depending on their "popularity". If a weapon has 5 stars then you get 5 stars, if it has 4, you get 4 and so on.

Humiliating your dead target with a taunt grants 1 extra star.
You can also steal stars by pickpocketing (you can pickpocket everyone, but only once per scene) or by recording one of your opponents with the camera (a tool).

The main game mode (which I explained above) is called "The Hunt". The other one got explained by Director X.

The other game modes (which I didn't show here) are either great or annoying (depending on how good you are and WHO you are):

In "Scene Stealer" you have to get a golden statue, but of course you aren't the only one who wants it, because you get one star for every 5th second it's in your hands, so you have to run like hell once you get it. Or you have to kill the one who is carrying it for getting it into your own greedy hands. This is a little familiar to Capture the Flag games with only one flag.

In "Hunt the Leader" everyone has to kill the person who is on top of the match's score list. Every kill makes that person lose 5 (!) stars. Since I've always been on the top (I only played against the AI for now to get used to the maps) I don't know how many stars the killer gets.

In "Deathmatch"... you should know what this means...

"Elimination" is a mixture of The Hunt and Deathmatch. You only kill one certain person at a time, but respawn is off.

"Revenge" is a mixture of Deathmatch and Hunt the Leader. The more people you kill, the more people want to kill you.

Every time the scene ends you have to stop shooting and killing, otherwise you will get punished for breaking the rules by losing a certain number of stars. Everyone acts like they never saw each other.
As you can see in the video, my hunter stopped going for me when the scene was over.

Adding to that, the bodyguards and the surveillance cameras (which alert the bodygurads) don't tolerate weapons in their field of view. If a bodyguard catches you, he'll shoot a taser at you, you lose your currently equipped weapon and if you fired any shots at anyone you also lose stars (e.g. killing someone costs 5).

Besides, you have to take care of your character, just like in The Sims. If the needs are in the red area, your character moves slower, his/her melee hits are weaker and his/her defense gets worse, meaning that you can be stunned and killed easily.

BEWARE: While eating, sleeping or sitting on the toilet you are an easy target, because your hunter can kill you with only one special attack (e.g. kicking you into the toilet and flushing you away).
