No more Level Up needed. Now Psi can work with Plasma Monkey Fan Club.

Let me start off with a simple statement: this is barely possible here. This is barely possible when going Smart Spikes path. This is barely possible with Spectre being overall buffed. The whole reason falls back to Round 82, but oh will I get back to that.

First, I can go over Psi's character because it does fall in line with his weaknesses. First off, I get the Ace up and running early because Psi has problems with fast bloon floods/clusters. Psi has low target capacity with his passive attack and most likely you want him targeting the Strong threats that will keep him busy. Already, there's an issue, but this isn't the only thing of note. Psi does get Lead control, but not until Level 6, which he conveniently does not have on Round 28 because he uses the 1.5x EXP curve, so I end up getting the White Hot Spikes out early as well. This is when Psi cannot damage Purples as it is, although that's no big deal, but every little bit adds up to making sure that these points stand out. By the way, do you notice how Psi needs to reach Level 7 to do anything to Ceramics? Granted, he reaches Level 7 on Round 38 when the first 2 Ceramics arrive, so the whole gesture is pretty much more to punish Psi's late deployment, but when all is said and done, it goes into Psi's whole aesthetic: that Psi is basically still a kid, even if they are a smart kid, which wouldn't change how it would be anything but wise to combat anything overwhelming.

This goes into Psi's particular weakness that I REALLY need to cover: the big bad blimps. Psi can't do anything to them without certain higher up Levels except slowdown with Psychic Blast, which also gets weakened against blimps. I still detest that issue being taken to its extreme, but the simple point is that Psi has these blatant weaknesses because of aesthetic. Thankfully, Psi has strengths that make this whole venture possible. For starters, they can focus targeting on the strong non-blimps and reduce pressure using their infinite range attack that hits immediately, can't be blocked off, and effectively knocks the hit bloon out of play. Psychic Blast gives Psi reason to think about their position, but its range is still large enough to cover quite a bit of the path.

Of course, Psi's major selling point is Psionic Scream. And it allows me to work with Smart Spikes, which I actually ended up needing.

What happens with Psionic Scream is that it hits ALL of the bloons that Psi can target, inflicting at random 50/50 choice between the vibration that Psi's passive uses for the effective 1HKO without wasting Psi's focus, or knockback that is still decent even if there's some luck factor in the knockback itself. The end result is that this can be used on a Ceramic cluster to neutralize it; believe me, it would munch Round 76 with decent use. The use is obvious: gimping one of the Round 63 Ceramic clusters to provide the Spiked Mines with precious leg room for the Smart Spikes path.

So why do I need Smart Spikes? Simply put, I need the higher spike pile capacity compared to Even Faster Production, because it is top priority to make sure the blimp layers are dealt with, particularly pivotal with Round 82's BFB flood. The Spactory doesn't quite hit capacity when the bulk of the piles start feeling the pressure, but it's close enough to show that EFP would have been worse off and lost. I need the blimp layers destroyed so that Psi can actually help cleanup. Psionic Scream doesn't even help in this beyond maybe some split second addition of Spectre damage to blimps, which is what really grates on me about Psi's design. Ironically, Psionic Scream is used to clutch victory over Round 82, but yes, this goes to show how, again, this wouldn't have worked in a previous version. I need also point out that what happens is that Spectre got buffed with extra damage against Ceramics. Yeah, Spectre also got a Pierce reduction, but even if that did anything relevant here, the real issue is the Fortified BFBs in the back, so the Ceramic children that would be taking up the Spectre's precious shots wouldn't be reliant on clustering.

There's a reason I would suggest for Destructive Resonance to damage blimps (although minor) and for Psionic Scream to affect non-BAD blimps above Psi's pay grade with reduced knockback unconditionally chosen. Though at least Psi is good against Camos and becomes good against Leads, and can panic button against floods or clusters as well, while the SMFC can of course still cover against the blimps.
