This is my cleaner run of this week's Odyssey with Pat Fusty. I can at least display why his wanting range is such a drawback that he would warrant an edge over other characters. I can even point out that his inability to do ANYTHING to Camos beyond buffing his support for frankly questionable results is what hurts him, and it leaves me wondering why Rallying Roar has to have bias in favor of supporting Fragile Speedster towers. Sometimes I do notice the changes, such as Zebras actually becoming Pinks from 1 Damage attacks, but in general, I can't help but feel that I'm not getting enough of a boost from something that doesn't add Camo hitting, and given that its effective usage requires input and thought in the first place, that's more reason why I think Pat should have had a self-buff from it.


Lotus Island is absolutely the highlight thanks to its obtuse path, such that it would be the highlight even if it wasn't the ONLY one of the 5 maps to not have a single placement spot where Pat can cover multiple portions of the path well away from each other. Maximized attack time allowance is reliant on having towers around the east edge of the island, and the only other location even worth considering, dead center, still has the path locations be too far separate from each other to make anything short of high range towers like a Glue Gunner viable there, which brings up the reason why I went with a M3 Mage over a Glue Gunner in the first place: Round 51's spaced Camo Ceramics, which the Glue Gunner can't do anything against within viable upgrading. I have to resort to having plenty of Camo detection, and honestly, again, it highlights that neither Rallying Roar nor Big Squeeze has Pat do anything useful against Camos.


I do make a point to go acrobatic with the DPS Spectre path on Candy Falls, and yeah, TIL Round 56 has a Camo Rainbow flood to catch you napping on the Camo busting and the only activation I had available for the Candy Falls run was (sigh) Rallying. Roar. See what is driving me nuts about Pat's activations yet? If you don't, watch the next video. And while I'm on the subject of activations, I can mention how Crossbow is the popular Dart Monkey path while the Triple Darts path has its tier 4 and 5 upgrades be considered awful. Super Monkey Fan Club I guarantee is a YMMV case but Plasma Monkey Fan Club is expensive as sin to where its base competence shouldn't be painfully bad. It goes to show, though, why I'd be for any underwhelming tower upgrades with activations being put to a sufficient standard, so that the game can be more satisfying to play. Especially after the debacle with last week's Odyssey having multiple maps going into the 90s.
