Part 2. I played the first game last year and it was quite the fun experience and this one is no different. In fact I think it improves on it's well established formula. I love the little 3-hit combo you can do while attacking. To add to it you now get 4 additional upgraded finishing moves, through turning in combat scrolls at a dojo. There are still just a few dungeons, but they are huge and offer some fun puzzles and battles. They even have secrets to for upgrading magic and health. Scattered throughout the world are a handful of places where a traveling merchant be and Lily can trade in some of her resources for new items like bottles, health and magic upgrades and some gems. You find the resources all around the world, whether they are shells, plants aor fish they have their uses. There are even people that are collecting flowers and fish that you can turn them into for rewards. You even return to being a mail carrier and deliver letters all over the overworld. There are even more little side quests to accomplish all over. It's cool that the world feels alive. It's not huge, but there does seem to be a lot to explore. The items you get in the dungeons feel nice. The magic meter makes a return and that is how your tools are used. So no worrying about running out of arrows or bombs, you just need to wait for the meter to have enough juice to use your tools. I really like this approach. The graphics are nice and fit the game well. The areas you explore are vibrant and varied. The story is also super cute and it's once again told by Lily's, the protagonist, grandfather as a bedtime story for his grandkids. You even have a little choice in what happens sometimes like choosing what kind of encounters or puzzles you get. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
