On this day in Major League Baseball History, August 23rd, a lot of cool things happened around major league baseball. In 1936, Future Hall of Famer Bob Feller made his major league debut. In 1989, The Dodgers beat the Expos in a 1-0 22 inning game, the second longest shutout in history. In 2006, the Royals scored 10 runs in the first inning and lost, only the second time that has ever happened in Major League Baseball. Finally, in 2009, the Phillies turned an unassisted triple play to end the game. Only the second time. in history such even ever happened.
