Boy Erased Movie Review - Collider @ TIFF 2018
Perri Nemiroff and Adam Chitwood review Boy Erased at TIFF 2018. Based on Garrard Conley’s memoir and directed by Joel Edgerton (The Gift), it follows the teenage son of a Baptist pastor in a small town in Arkansas. After coming out to his parents, the boy is forced to attend a gay conversation therapy program to avoid permanent exile from his family.
The film stars Lucas Hedges, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, and Joel Edgerton. Boy Erased opens in theaters on November 2nd.
