Brain You Later is a surreal retro styled horror game where you grow friends in fish tanks like a good little consumer.

To say too much about Brain You Later will spoil the experience, but it’s a short and surreal altgame set in a strange consumerism-focused society. It’s a world where you can grow “friends” in fishtanks and you purchase them from a massive impossible structure called “The Paradox”. However, your newest friend may make you question what’s really going on…

Taking around 15 minutes to play through, Brain You Later is a wonderfully surreal and unsettling experience. The visual design (particularly the Paradox building) is superb and it does a great job of relaying its story without spelling everything out for you. So what are you waiting for? Those friends won’t grow themselves!
