4Brainiac is a supervillain and one of the most intelligent beings in the universe. His name is a blend of 'brain' and 'maniac', and he first appeared in 1958. Originally from the planet most frequently named Colu, Brainiac is known for his unquenchable thirst for absolute knowledge. He has no regard for any innocent lives that may be destroyed in his pursuit. Part of what makes Brainiac so dangerous, is that he believes the knowledge he acquires is only valuable if he and he alone possesses it. His highly advanced and computerized brain has put together complex plots that have kept the Justice League on their heels. His inability to see beyond pure logic has always been his downfall.
