Leviathan evades all physical attacks while airborne and has 9999 M.Def when on ground. The normal tacitc would be to bring both casters and melee attackers, but using the Black Mage passive Pierce M.Def allows mages to deal damage consequently.

Leviathan is weak to Lightning, so the choice of spell is Thundaga, which gets Mimiced to reduce overall MP cost. Lambent Hats give the Lightning Amp buff, which makes Lightning attacks deal 25% more damage.

Due to Leviathan's Instant Death attacks when on the ground, I have my Performer Edea keep up Fairy Ward while Spiritmaster Tiz keeps Stillness up.

During the first turn, it is possible that Leviathan acts before Stillness is up. However, none of his attacks are lethal (though quite damaging) and for the second turn Haste is up. If you find your defenses too low, you could either make the Spiritmaster a bit faster or have the performer buff Haste instead, though this might make the mages hit below 9999 when debuffed.

Note that his Envy removes Magic and Physical Attack and Defense, but Speed buffs are not removed. Reraise would be one more example of a spell that is removed here.
