In this video, I'm doing a gameplay of a game that I watched RebsDead's livestream yesterday on Facebook. That game is: BreakThru for the Arcade. This game was developed and published by Data East, it was released in the Arcade in 1986. BreakThru was ported to many home computers, like: Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and NES. This game was also released for the Nintendo Switch as part of Johnny Turbo's Arcade last year that you can buy via Nintendo eShop. BreakThru is a 2D side-scrolling vehicle shooter. Your mission: race, jump, and blast your way through five levels (mountains, bridge, plains, city, and airfield) of enemy defenses to recapture the stolen jet fighter. A host of enemy soldiers, mines, vehicles, and aircraft will try to stop you, though. Oh yeah... and don't forget to watch out for those rocket attacks and falling rocks! After a little bit of practice on this one, it was really fun, but I died at level 2: Bridges, because the helicopter was really difficult to avoid. Maybe I should come back to play this again sometime. Overall, BreakThru for the arcade is great, but also a very tough game if you're looking for some challenge. I hope you enjoy this short gameplay video of BreakThru for the Arcade and thanks for watching!
