I'm never trusting anyone in this game again unless I know they'll be a party member one day. Not even a little bit.

With that said, it's time for the Contest of Champions! When we were brought there earlier, I KNEW we'd end up either as a contestant or a prize (or possibly both), and it's always nice being right. I feel like the first round was definitely the hardest because it's a series of 1v1 fights, and it definitely got the better of a couple members of the squad, but we're pushing all the way through to the end of the tournament in one episode and getting some hints as to Ryu's origins while we're at it! We even meet another master we can apprentice to named Fahl, and I swear I'll remember to grind out 30 fights without resting off camera and not suddenly remember when I go to record the next episode :')

And yes, I said Peco the way I wasn't going to at the start of the episode, but I'll do better from here on :P
