In this series of 5 videos you will see the adventures I went through to breed and raise turtles.
My goal was to see what the baby turtles look like, as well as get a turtle shell helmet.
A turtle shell helmet gives you an extra 10 seconds of air when diving in water.
In order to lay eggs, the turtles must be fed sea grass, which I picked with iron scissors. Also, baby turtles must be fed sea grass to grow and give you a Scute. With 5 Scutes you can make a helmet.
Although it is said that after 4-5 days the baby turtles hatch, this is only true if you do not sleep at night and keep an eye on the turtle eggs. Otherwise, if you sleep, weeks go by and nothing happens.
In order to benefit from the turtle shells, you must surround the eggs with a fence, otherwise the Zombies will step on the eggs and break them.
Also, if the eggs aren't fenced in, when the baby turtles hatch, they run off into the water and you won't be able to feed them and get your reward.
While I was waiting for the baby turtles to come out, I took care of the household chores, but also the defense of my territory from the attacks of zombies, archers, phantoms, creepers and spiders. These ligions managed to kill me once, stealing my experience, but luckily I got my armor back.
Fortunately, a turtle settled in my boat and thus, I was able to bring it home, where there is still a single turtle. I hope I can breed them and not have to cross the globe to get turtle shells.
